conductingresistance: (softly call you over)

[With the assassin fallen -- mostly unconscious, Yuan thinks, and definitely not about to stir -- he can focus on the new problem that's approaching him. In this case, a guard with the Chosen's safety as a primary priority.]

[This isn't necessarily a bad thing, really. These guards, at least, are loyal to Zelos.]

[It does mean that Yuan cannot be as free as he has been accustomed to. He tucks the swallow away into its wingpack when the guard isn't looking, and bends to disarm the assassin, checking for any weapons beyond the obvious sword so there will be no nasty surprises later.]

[Going to check over Zelos with his own hands is a supremely terrible idea. Yuan straightens, posture military-stiff.]

Z--Chosen. You should see a healer.

[The sword is really not the matter at hand here, but apparently Zelos is fixated on it.]

The sword will keep. Can you rise, or will your guard need to carry you?

[It's now, needing for appearance's sake to be formal and distant when he'd prefer most not to be, that Yuan recognizes most consciously the contrast between this and his normal approach to Zelos. It could have been a more convenient time.]
