You don't have to. You just need to set the precedent of them seeing you, a half-elf, as a person; when they see you as a person, then they'll begin to see other half-elves as people too.

[Kratos sets down the tray, turning it so one of the plates faces Yuan, and takes his own seat. He doesn't move to begin yet, though; rather, setting his arms on the table.]

Start by greeting them. Don't just ignore them. If you hear that one of them needs help, do them a favour -- but one where you don't expect anything in return. Treat them like people and they'll respond in kind.

[There's certainty in his tone. It took him a long time to learn these lessons; as a knight-in-training people had treated him either as someone who stole their opportunities, or some kind of untouchable and unapproachable figure. In the end, the nearest things to friends he'd had weren't other knights, but the servants and guards who kept things running around the castle. They'd liked him for reasons other than his being an Aurion, at any rate.

[He knows for a fact that this had its effect beyond just him. Mostly because Bea had yelled at him for being responsible for her servants smiling at her -- Bea had become the sort to be rattled by genuine kindness.]
