[At first Kratos isn't sure how to respond to that. It's true that Yuan does have some degree of responsibility for him, given their unique circumstances; but that makes it sound like Kratos has changed Yuan's future in some appreciable manner. Kratos's brow furrows a little deeper.]

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

[Unless he means before -- when Kratos was still a commander of the knighthood. That would make some sense, he supposes; he made a convenient goal for Yuan to strive for.

[Equally confusing, the earlier admission that Yuan doesn't consider most people worth fighting for coupled with the refusal to let people judge him for his race. It seems like a bundle of contradictions. As readable as Yuan seems on the surface, it's as if the longer Kratos knows him the harder it is to read him.]
