Botta checks the video feed first, because he's halfway convinced himself that he misheard Yuan's passing remark the last time they were in the same room. He checks the video feed because he wants to make sure Kratos is asleep, and potentially won't notice, if Botta goes in.

[It takes a minute to actually find the man, not in his bed but half-hidden behind Yuan. Botta massages his head and then goes to speak to Yuan, stepping into Kratos's room a touch warily in case he misinterpreted the slump of Aurion's shoulders.
