Nidavellir is in the mountains, yes?

[Strong winds isn't inexplicable; and if their dwellings are carved out of the mountain itself -- yes, Kratos can see how that would follow. He shakes his head as they pass through the gates, waving the guards who bother to salute back to their tasks.]

No, we have no such troubles here. The residences are built around courtyards, in essence; at least two. One is an aquifer which catches condensation and rainwater, and the other is a garden area, protected from strong weather by the walls of the dwelling surrounding. -- But these are all things you'll see shortly.

[Now they're out of the castle grounds and in the boulevard, Yuan might prefer to take in his surroundings, unobscured by the ranks of marching soldiers. The boulevard is populated this time, by general traffic; many of the residents here sell easily-made or easily-bought produce out of the front of their homes, creating a pseudo-market often attended by those stationed within the castle walls when they don't have time to reach a proper store.

[Many wave toward Kratos as they pass, or greet him with a cheerful 'commander', while eyeing Yuan with wary curiosity. Notably, nearly all of them are wearing clothes brighter than Kratos's own, if lacking the lining of status.]
