[It was not well made in the first place. Kratos opens his mouth to respond to this, and has nothing; and as he turns it over in his head he finds there's no response possible. It's logical. Most tools are designed to take a battering. Why should the subsistence bloodlines be any different? Especially as they arguably didn't exist anymore?

[The thoughts are very nearly painful, and Yuan's question is hardly a respite. Still, perhaps because Kratos is grappling with the earlier idea, he answers honestly.]

I'm meant to help others. If I need help, how can anyone depend on me?
